New Years Day Beginings.

Friday AM and it is very very quiet here in Heidelberg.  Seamus already finished with his walk along the river amidst the debris of last night's war zone of fireworkds and mayhem.  Nice crisp cold day with no traffic to speak of save for a couple of taxis and the occasional city bus.  It will be a quiet day as the boys leave tomorrow and life gets back to normal.  They will go up to school for their final workout and leave the bikes there.  I will go in for a bit and begin the annual consolidation of personal paperwork and correspondance.  Lots of loose ends to tie up for finances and plan for what to do in 2010.  After a couple of years of being conservative (which didn't hurt) it may be time to test the waters again.  The economy has come back from the brink but 2010 may not have the quick earnings........  The issue with the war fronts overseas will weight heavy on the overall change in the economy.  Health Care will take center stage from time to time but it will be the general state of the country that will drive the train....  Work will be normal and time to keep the ship afloat on an even keel and headed into the wind on a steady course to where I don't know just a steady course...........Almost New Years in the Pacific Time Zone in a few minutes so will send greetings to Jess.

Interesting to read all of the end of year  end of decade lists........  Oh well  Time to take the tree down.

Ciao
