Sunday Fall Sports in the Book
I am back!!!!!!!!!!! Great Fall Sports season........ A bit of drama, a bit of emotion, and most of all great kids competing with class........... Grama has had her bath and now a nice time to walk across the river and find a Latte Machiatto with my name on the glass............ Have I extolled the virtues of the new iPhone 4? Great new toy! A bit misty on the river but very quiet and a day to just relax before the next squall rolls in on Monday AM. A shout out to KRL for reminding me to get back on the horse......... More later this afternoon.......... November weather gotta love it............

Sunday Morning and what to do? Grama and Seamus already bathed and resting..... Seamus not real happy but clean nonetheless...... Several books to choose from all partly read.......... The Man from Beijing by Henning Mankill tops the list of what to dive in to this late morning..... May do so from a cafe with a Latte Machiatto (nvever could spell it right). Friday evening in Luxembourg to see ImoJean Heap in concert...... A lot of fun to see live music........ She was a trip and every bit like I expected..... Short two hour drive up and back. Final performance of Footloose this afternoon and it will be a good opportunity to clean up my office and then back home for a nice meal, a bit of the grape and just time to relax before another week. Need Need Need to get back into routine with the gym afterschool this week each day, It has been hit and miss and a couple of winter pounds have stuck around.......... Should be a treat to get them off...... Looking forward to nicer weather and plantings on the terrace. Red Geraniums over planted will look nice. Plan to use the BBQ more this Spring as well. Seamus looking forward to walks in the vineyards in Provence as it will offer him lots of new smells.......... Not really sure or comfortble with how much more to share at times as work is time consuming with a mission to solve the world's problems one crisis at a time. Enjoy the Internet radio throughout the apartment. Current favorite is KCSM out of SF. Easy jazz all hours. Still partial to Oregon Public Radio feed with the the Indie Band scene. Running low on Caribou Coffee so will need to place another mail order, there is always Starbucks at comissary but it gets a bit old after a while, The sun is now peeking out and beautiful, will take a pic and post it to the blog and FB. Do people read what I write? Probably not but can't seem to get into the mainstream to promote myself..... Maybe if I told real school stories, someone would comment.......... Seamus now looking at me and asking Why did you give me a bath............? Hi to one my one loyal follower............. Ciao

First Sunday in March 2010
Sunday and it is COLD!!!!! Church bells ringing and it is a glorous day. Finally got allof the internet friendly devices in the apt on wireless connections and put away all of the cords....... Now to just get everything battery operated. Seamus a bit bored after a short trek outside in the cold....... The snow that is left is crispy and crackly. Probably should brave the outdoors for a cafe run and think about reading some of the stacks of winter books that have accumulated around the apt. What to read first or at least start: Robert Parker, Ian Rankin, Kurt Wallender, magazines, A new cookbook by Ina Garten, Brad Thor, and Pat Conroy's book Broad Street??????? Spring Sports ready to start and I have to be in the school play next weekend...... Not sure what to cook today although I have a great looking chicken breast with the skin on perhps to make a stew in the le cruset deep dish pan........ Had a great lunch of chicken livers, apples, and potatoes yesterday at a cafe with a couple of glasses of Italian and dessert to boot. Still pretty proud of myself for getting everything wireless.......... Time to check out Katie's Blog..... Ciao

Looking forward to Spring Break and Provence. Summer plans beginning to come together with travel back to Tacoma and other trips for work and pleasure. Probably will attend another AP conference 4 day seminar as last year's was beneficial. Time in LA for a week of meetings and then maybe to Orlando for a school incentive rewards program. Trying to figure out how to grow fresh herbs on the terrace without taking up too much room and will endeavor to figure out an automatic watering system along with which hanging baskets to put up in May as well. Differentiated Education Instruction WTF They want us to do it but haven't realy figured out what it should look like........ Listening to Fresh Air with Willaim Hurt...... Boring. Made Ziti over the weekend for a 1000 people, not really but made way too much..... Will work out better concoction of the recipe next time. Lamb chops tomorrow..... Sunday in Heidelberg
It has been a while, but well it was snowing and we had lousy weather.......... My other life is full of everyday activity with lots of distractions, requests, demands, and general goingsons... Is that a word? You could be one of the 10 missionaries jailed for kidnapping.......... The market trip on Satu rday morning was a fun with lots of things bought to cook later......... I love to buy fresh herbs and then figure out how to use them in different ways........ Will try Leek and Potato and Carrot soup later today........ I need to go out and get (find) fresh cream (sanna) here...... Noshing on a bit of pork chop and cherry chutney and a bit of the grape........ Reading a bit of ed stuff about one's ability goes up and down over time.. The smarts everyone says you have actually need tending to every year and is not just stagnant..... More on that later....... Will ventoure out for a walk later on with Seamus. Maybe down to the bakery for fresh bread and stop off at cafe for uick drink. Lots of snow in DC but here in Heidelberg it is finally snow free and a bit cold and windy but nice to have the snow gone.......... More later after the walk.......

New Years Day Beginings.
Friday AM and it is very very quiet here in Heidelberg. Seamus already finished with his walk along the river amidst the debris of last night's war zone of fireworkds and mayhem. Nice crisp cold day with no traffic to speak of save for a couple of taxis and the occasional city bus. It will be a quiet day as the boys leave tomorrow and life gets back to normal. They will go up to school for their final workout and leave the bikes there. I will go in for a bit and begin the annual consolidation of personal paperwork and correspondance. Lots of loose ends to tie up for finances and plan for what to do in 2010. After a couple of years of being conservative (which didn't hurt) it may be time to test the waters again. The economy has come back from the brink but 2010 may not have the quick earnings........ The issue with the war fronts overseas will weight heavy on the overall change in the economy. Health Care will take center stage from time to time but it will be the general state of the country that will drive the train.... Work will be normal and time to keep the ship afloat on an even keel and headed into the wind on a steady course to where I don't know just a steady course...........Almost New Years in the Pacific Time Zone in a few minutes so will send greetings to Jess.
Interesting to read all of the end of year end of decade lists........ Oh well Time to take the tree down.
Ciao
